There are 14 permanent campsites located at Camp Royaneh. Each site has its own unique character and attribute. Your campsite will be your home for the week at Royaneh. Each campsite has either multiple tent platforms with two-man canvas tents or open air cabins. Refer to the Camp Map on the Resources page. Bear Gulch (maximum 24 campers) Buddy Point (maximum 20 campers) Foresters Village (maximum 40 campers) Fricot Meadows (maximum 36 campers) Frontiersmen Village (maximum 50 campers) Kiwanis Grove (maximum 26 campers) Lion’s Den (maximum 24 campers) Murphy’s Gulch (maximum 22 campers) Pioneers Village (maximum 54 campers) Plainsmen Village (maximum 48 campers) Rifle Camp (maximum 26 campers) Rotary Rancho (maximum 22 campers) Scanlon Ridge (maximum 22 campers) Tree Haven (maximum 24 campers) Your campsite will also have the following: A central fire ring and fire tools A bulletin board A flag pole (you should bring your own US Flag to fly during your stay at camp) A nearby washstand, KYBO or Shower house. Remember a Scout is clean and your campsite should be a reflection of that. The site should be kept free from litter and your KYBO should be cleaned on a daily basis. Campsite Garbage All campsite garbage should be emptied nightly as to not attract wildlife. The garbage dumpster is located west of the Dining Hall. You can pick up some garbage bags in the Dining Hall. There are no garbage cans in the campsites because they cause a false sense of security from the wild critters. Campsite Maps Some units find it helpful to have their tenting arrangements worked out before arriving at camp. It makes for more time on arrival day for other issues that may arise. If you are one of those units, here are the maps of the camp sites and their suggested maximum occupancy for the number of tents that are there.
